Tracepaper is a browser extension that overlays design images on web pages and inspects page styles. It is built to collect as little as possible. This policy covers the extension and this website.
What stays on your computer
Design images you add, layer positions and panel settings are saved in your browser's local extension storage so they are restored next time. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else. Removing the extension deletes them.
What Tracepaper does not do
- It does not collect browsing history, page content or personal information.
- It does not use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising.
- It does not run on a page until you click its icon or press its shortcut, and then only on that tab.
- It does not sell or share data with anyone.
Payments (Tracepaper Pro)
Pro purchases and free trials are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and the merchant of record. When you buy, you give your payment details to Paddle, not to Tracepaper; Paddle's privacy policy applies to them. Paddle tells us your email address, country and subscription status so we can issue your Pro license. To unlock Pro, the extension sends your license key to our license server (hosted on Cloudflare) to check that it is valid; nothing else is sent. We use your email address only for your purchase and support, never for marketing without your consent.
This website
This site has no analytics or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
